People ask me all the time about what I feed my dogs. I make their dog food from scratch: It takes a couple of hours and I make it about once every 10 days. I have two huge roasting pans - The old fashioned black ones.

In one pan I cook the chicken combination of boneless and bone-in, sometimes I add a bag of rice, I cover the chicken with water and bake it at 350 for at least an hour to an hour and a half. The chicken should shred easily. I place a couple of yams in the oven at the same time.

In the other pan, I add egg noodles, blueberries, kale, zucchini, squash, carrots, green beans, peas, I blend one dozen whole eggs- shells and all. I add leftover chicken broth and bone broth to this mixture. Cooke for at least 1 hour at 350.

In the meantime shred the chicken and remove the bones. Don't let your pups have these bones. Cooked bones can splinter easily and are not for consumption.

Add 2 boxes of store brand Cheerios and stir.

I buy the big Rubbermaid oblong containers and separate the chicken into the containers.

Cut the yams up into cube size pieces and place them with chicken.

When the veggies are done I add two bags of cheese and stir. I alternate veg and chicken mixture and stir until It all comes together. I find doing this in individual containers I can make sure the proper ratio - I do use a mixture of fresh and frozen veg.

The pups also get fresh green beans as a snack. I find storing these in the freezer is the best way to keep them fresh.

I feed my pups twice a day along with two supplements a Probiotic and Omega 3 fish oil; pic included. You can purchase these on Amazon.

Here is the weight vs cup size for feeding

Paisley 56 lbs, 1 1/2 C twice a day

Phoebe Nicks 34 lbs 3/4 C twice a day

Tua Bear 16.4 lbs and Lacy Belle 17 get 1/2 C twice a day

Ellie 9.8 lbs 1/3 C twice a day.

Sometimes if they still act hungry I will give them a little more.
